macOS The GNUStep project

I'm planning to use GNUStep FoundationKit for a base of a cross-platform project as Java or C++ are not ideal tools and need some advice form someone who has already used it. I've done some playing around but it might be better to just ask.

Is the GNUStep project still actively maintained? Its hard to tell just by the website.

Does it have any issues with the Windows and Linux LLVM runtimes?

Is GNUStep reliant on Win32 on windows?

Does it work with PyObjC on Windows and Linux?
