The Gray Icon Island with a keyboard and mic keeps getting in the way.

ipad Pro 12.9 2020 iPad OS- 16.1 While I’m typing on slack or Reddit this on screen keyboard/microphone keeps popping up and getting in the way. Often blocking the place where I need to tap to enter what I typed. Any idea what setting gets rid of it? (When Magic Keyboard is in use). Thanks for your help!

Same issue when using chat function in Teams. This is truly annoying and I am not aware of a fix.

It’s SO annoying.

Almost as annoying is how hard it is to figure out how to turn it off!

Settings > General > Keyboards > Shortcuts.
