I can't decide what my first Mac should be. Macbook Pro or the Mac Pro. My head is spinning so i'm gonna wait 3-5 weeks before I try to decide again.
Mac Pro for its expandabilty and because it can handle my gaming needs. I just cant decide between 4 or 8 core.
Macbook Pro , which I probably would have bought if they upgraded the vid card only. They didnt.
I'm just gonna wait , i don't need it, i would like the Mac now, but I can hold off for now. My PC still runs fine.
Its unbelievable how difficult my decision is. People ask, what do you want to use it for? Do you need the portability etc.
Well I don't need the portablity but I'd love to be able to take the Macbook to work so during down time I can learn the Mac OS and when I bring it home, hook it up to my 21" CRT. So I would love the Macbook Pro for those reasons. Its just waiting for the update, if it comes soon or not. Thats just me, I like to buy right when something changes.
The Mac Pro has the power for now and the future. Sure I might not need 8 cores, but who knows where I might end up. Plus the 8800gt card alone will take care of all my gaming needs since i'm not hardcore anymore. So much expandablity.
So you see my dilema. In my damn mind , I can make a case to buy either. Now the Mac Pro just got updated so that would be a good idea. But my wife is gonna kill me if I'm on the damn thing night and day learning the Mac OS and using the new programs. Thats where the Notebook would allow me to work on it at work during downtime and cause less problems at home lol.
