I'm getting sick about the home button. It doesn't respond like it should. I press it twice to check the open apps and it doesn't work. I'm using an application and hit the home button to go home and doesn't work.

Is there a fix for this?

This happened to me too. Take it to the Apple store and they will replace the home button, it takes under 5 minutes (well it did for me).

They did this on an iPhone 4? I could see it with the previous generations as the screen is the first part of disassembly and would be the easiest to replace. However in the 4 it is much more difficult as the procedure to take apart the phone starts from the back to the front.

Yes sorry it was back in the day when I had my 3GS. For a 4 they would just replace the whole phone and use your current one as a refurb, I think.

The home button needs to go, it's outlived it's usefullness and is taking up too much space that could be used for the larger display everybody wants even if they won't admit it.
