Why oh why can't all video be the same...

Anyway, I have a Pentax Optio S5z, and I love the little camera. I also have an iMac G5.

My little camera can record video, up to 45 min in length. When I import the video to my computer they are this format:

Microsoft IMA ADPCM, Mono, 22.050 kHz
Microsoft ISO MPEG-4 V1.1, 640 x 480, Millions

And it's packaged as an AVI.

How can I convert this so it will import into iMovie? I want to edit my video clips togeth in iMovie.

I have quicktime pro, and I tried DivX but it didn't seem to work, and it corrupted one of my files already.

Help!?

Have you tried exporting them as DV via quicktime pro's export feature?

Oops!

Exporting as a DV file looked like it was working. The video on the new DV files looks great, but there is NO audio.

Any other suggestions?
