Yo! I want to start a thread that involves a person listing the software/hardware details and conditions of their MacBook Pro that they intend to sell. The experienced or passer-by's would give their idea of how much the person should sell the MacBook Pro for and of which the price is the most reasonable and justified.

I will begin with myself! Please remember to quote or reference the person you are giving your judgements/opinions to!

I want to sell my Mid 2009 MacBook Pro. It is a 15.4" Anti-Glare 1440x900 with Intel Core 2 Duo P8700 2.53GHz and 8GB of Corsair 2x4 800MHz upgraded ram. Nvidia 9400M with upgraded 120GB Sandisk SSD running Snow Leopard.

Physical condition is great except for a couple of scratches on the bottom and one minor scuff mark on the lid, and a dent/mark on the left corner. Screen/display is 99% new, no scratches, scuff marks, or blemishes. Battery is 6 hours max, cycle count 117. It is fully functional and works like new with no defects or troubles. All original accessories, packaging, and papers are intact. No warranty.

How much do you think I should list it for? Thanks for any feedback!

The website Mac2Sell is pretty accurate. Based on that site and your specs, you should get around $700 for yours.... but the cosmetic scratches/scuffs/dents may lower so I'd say you're looking at $650-$800 max on a good day.

ebay and craigslist are excellent at achieving what you're trying to find out.

a justified exaggeration in my opinion:mad:

my $4600 macbook would have been $3299 in america

but if someone gave me $1300 i would let them call my macbook dirt cheap in return

i would even write "dirt cheap" on the lid

Do they sell that expensive laptops?
