My god i am getting sick and tired of reading about problems with the new MBP C2D, i am currently waiting to get mine, but i keep on reading "im returning mine" in all posts.. please, if you have one with no errors 15" or 17" then write it in this post for me and all the others that are waiting!

They cant all be faulty can they?

No problems here. Works like a charm and there's nothing bad I can say about it as the machine allows me to accomplish every task that I require of it. Good luck to you too.

Well, there is always someone who has some issues with mass-production computer and who would post his/her experience. Also, there is always a whiner who whines at the smallest imperfection (and who would not be satisfied until getting so-called "perfect" unit).
If you are satisfied with your MBP, then, any negative posts on MBP should not affect you one iota.
By looking at various forums, MBP C2D is better built than the rev A MBP (CD unit). I waited for C2D MBP as I was not comfortable with rev A unit. It seems I made a right decision by waiting for this C2D MBP as mine does not have any issue (as of now). It may develop some problem down the road (who knows?). I usually get the sense of reliability after using it for 6 months or so. I bought mine on Nov. 1, 2006.

no problems here. Well not yet i haven't even received mine. But i will on monday and i hope i'll be visiting this thread again on monday with some positive comments on my new macbook pro.

This is my first mac... i purchased the MBP 2.33 C2D. I must say I am very happy with it so far. I am still learning alot of stuff but this thing does what i need it to do and runs alot quicker than my pc (which I still use).

I still have much to learn but I'm enjoying it. Needless to say I dont have any problems with it.

I got mine. A 2.33 ghz model

Bought a dell 20.1" monitor and bluetooth accessories and it is amazing!!!!

I got a question though, should I be worried about running this mbp closed lid alot?

I'm still on my PowerBook, but a good friend of mine upgraded his TiBook to the new C2D MacBook Pro and hasn't experienced any of the usual problems. I even checked the screen and such when he showed it to me since I was curious. Looked fine.

2nd time lucky for me:D

my mbp c2d is much faster than I expected, it's screen is gorgeous, it's quiet, it's cool, it's well put together :D

Flawless!

This is the best Mac (or computer of any kind!) I've ever seen! The screen is bright, crisp and beautiful, no pixel/lighting/lines problems, it's fast, dead-silent (unless encoding video or playing games), with flawless construction. Oh, and yeah ... the glossy screen is the way to go!

:D

I've been reading the forum for about a week now. I saw the new MBP C2D last week, went back to the Laval Apple store this morning and played with it for 1.5 hours. They had a 17" glossy, so I bought one.
Also bought a Wireless mighty mouse. No problems!
Can't even see a dead pixel. Runs cool, no noise, can't even hear the fans.
First run on the battery was 4 hours, ripped a few cd's to Itunes, played with all the apps, tuned the preferences, went on the Net,(wired, don't have a wi-fi setup yet), bluetooth on, airport on a few times, trying see any open nets around the house.
This is my first Mac, been using PC for 25 years.

I had owned CD MBP for almost two weeks and didn't like it due to heat and noise issue. I returned it in exchange of a new C2D one. Everything is perfect and I'm very happy with it.

If I hold mine upside down and shake it three times, then hold it up to infared light, I can see a gap.
Otherwise mines been perfect and a significant improvement over the CD which wasn't any slouch. It does run cooler and I get slightly longer battery life, currently getting it to indicate about 4:07 when I pull the plug. That has been consistantly, but slowly increasing.
