It's beautiful.

Woke up around 1115 pm or so, called Wal-Mart, they said they have ~10. Went there, 2 people in line.

They didn't even sell them all.

My face when

 :D

Sorry that I'm lazy and don't want to post pictures of the device, but the iPhone camera isn't that great anyway and I don't have good lighting. But this device is amazing.

Also, 1st ipad.

I just picked up my 32gb wifi iPad from Walmart, but unfortunately, I won't be messing around with it till the morning.

Got mine at Walmart as well. 5 in store had to turn a few people away but all is good!

The Wally i went to had 15. got there at 11.30 took a number, left, got back at 11.57, was last person in line. took 20 mins to check out. Painless process..

I bet each Best buy gets around the same number. i wonder how long it will take to sell out..

Really glad to see you guys are getting them and are happy with them :)

Me myself, can not afford one at the moment. But I really want one ! It's making me incredibly jealous thats for sure.

I hope y'all don't take them for granted ;)

Watching Netflix right now. Honestly the screen is what makes this thing killer. It's just amazing. I recommend seeing it in person if you can, just to check it out.

Did you upgrade from another iPad? Netflix looks better on the iPad 3?
I assumed that streaming apps like Netflix or NBC etc streamed at like 480p so their quality wouldn't see a big bump with the retina display. I would love to be wrong about that.

Yes, I want to know this too! I've kind of thought that Netflix and Hulu streamed at closer to ~720p at it's highest on the iPad. Either that, or 480 just looks surprisingly great on the iPad 2. Either way, I'm really looking forward to seeing how great the difference is on the new model!

I'm sorry if I may have misled you guys. Netflix is the same one the new iPad. I did not upgrade, this is my first iPad. But my parents have an iPad 2, so I can say its no different. It's just that the screen is so damn pretty that I can't stop talking about it. I honestly wonder how apple is able to cram this screen along with the other components into a device this cheap. Truly amazing.

I guess that's fine. I was watching a show on Hulu earlier today and I still marvel out how nice the streaming looks on my iPad 2. Still looking forward to comparing everything myself!

At least half the people in line at Wal-mart were resellers. Lolz.

Really? Admittedly so?

Yeah. It really should be upped to 1080p, and I suspect it will eventually. They at least need to do it if you're on wifi.

I have noticed that the device does get warm. It's not uncomfortable, but it is noticible, especially toward the bottom near the home button.

Sorry to veer too much off topic, but do you or anyone else know if Netflix streams full 1080p on stuff like bluray players and things connected to the television? That might be encouraging.

Yep, very open about it.

Yes. As far as I know.

Thanks, I really need to go now! only an hour and half until they sell them here! :p

Yeah, if you live in the middle of nowhere like I do there's a good chance you'll be able to get one. Seems like the standard for Walmart was 10 per store, half 16gb black and half 64gb white 4g. Though I suspect there are some variations.

Typing this on my new iPad right now.

How do you check which manufacturer your display was made by?
:D
