the "Invite tab" is not in my ical?

Hi i have iphone 4s,& just realised i have no invite tab! I can receive but I
have no way of sending an invite can someone help me set one up or maybe I need to switch something on?? Im sure the answer is here already,then if you could link me to it,that would be great thanks in advance.

"+" upper right then scroll down to Invitees and add the people you want to invite.

From what i remeber, i think the option is only avaliable to imap type email accounts such as exchange or icloud. Pop3 accounts do not have the option. I remeber a long time ago i did not have a option for hotmail.
