Just been reading this article: http://trifter.com/usa-canada/ipad-affecting-jobs-ipad-unemployment-ipad-news/

Congressman Jesse Jackson is accusing Apple of causing mass unemployment with the iPad and for even contributing to Borders shutting down!
I guess the iPad may replace textbooks in the future, or a similar device - but already? Any thoughts?

Yeah, my thought is that Mr. Jackson (Jr.) is a total moron, just like his dad.

Probably should avoid even discussing this one here though as politics are likely to be involved and you know how that goes on forums :D :D :D

At the risk of oversimplifying things, Borders is the way it is because it was too slow to jump on the eBook Bandwagon, not because of the iPad. If anything, Jr. should blame Amazon and its Kindle device since they started it.

My grandpa is still pissed about electricity forcing his steam engine repair company to close.

Love how he glosses over the jobs created by Apple, Amazon and others... not only within their own companies, but also by the startup opportunities created for app developers, accessory manufacturers, etc.

Everyone already posted my exact thoughts when I first read this article... JJ Jr inherited all his stupidity from his attention whore father.
