Yeah on San Juan is great... too bad we are having trouble with signal even my 3 year old phone had better signal in where i always had... and this happens in all the 4 phones we got.

Wirelessly posted (iPhone 3G (16GB): Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 2_2 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/525.18.1 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/3.1.1 Mobile/5G77 Safari/525.20)

3G is awesome in Tokyo, too. So good, in fact, that I don't even bother with wifi (on my 100Mbit fiber connection) when I'm at home. I just leave wifi off and keep it on 3G at all times. :D

So what exactly is the problem here in the states? Is it lack of Satellites / Too much users? Or is it something else?

just ran a test on my 3g here in stl, missouri

3g:
download: 919kbits/s
upload: 99kbits/s

edge:
download: 197kbit/s
upload:35kbit/s

totally jealous lol.

Too many users.
That is the sole reason.
Some areas of the US have great speeds!! (Like Miami!)
But some don't. CoughNYC!

Nice speeds. ;)
Sad that I, here in Indianapolis, can't get speeds faster than 1.5up/.4down. The part that's even more sad is that my iPhone has faster upload speeds than my ISP...eff you Brighthouse Networks.
