Looks as small as its original screen size.

Anyone else feel the same way?

I still love it, I am just saying. :p

Go back now and use a 4s...it feels tiny.
Yeah. I occasionally go back to help my girlfriend with her 4S, and it feels so weird. Screen size is definitely a factor, but I find the weight difference to be even more surprising.

Also, when watching videos on my iPhone 5, I love how it fills the entire screen.

Open up an app that hasn't been updated to support the iPhone 5. You will immediately appreciate, and notice, the extra screen real estate.

If you want to feel the difference, open up a text message thread you have had with someone and drop the keyboard, can see so much more of the texts...also i love having full screen youtube videos instead of black boxes on the side now

I mean i sort of get what you mean but coming from a Galaxy S3, i thought the transition would be muh worse in terms of screen size and how much viewing space i would lose but i love the 4 inch screen, its perfect and my expectations did not meet what i was expecting lol so its a plus. Retina display is so nice

I noticed that the youtube app hasn't been updated tho....so it crops the videos on the sides and top...if you delete it they will play right tho.

Every time I use an iPhone 4/4S now it comes across as a "my first phone kit" package. It's so tiny and toy-like. Kinda cute. But definitely cripples usability after being used to a 4". It's really odd that I didn't feel this way when I was transitioning between a Nexus S (4" as well) and an iPhone 4. I suppose the increase only being applied vertically in the iPhone 5's case makes it look even bigger.

Haha, now when I look back on a 4 / 4S... they look fat and short. 4" is about just right. If Apple increased the screen size last year - the S3 wouldn't have been as successful as now.

3.5" --> 4" may be a small increase, but the change of aspect ratio from 3:2 to 16:9 is huge. Video looks a LOT bigger.

You give people what they want and they still complain. I don't get it.

I dont used the youtube app, i use the mobile site, i made it into a web app on my home screen

The OP's screen has shrunk. Apple will probably exchange it under warranty. Just inspect the new one for shrinkage.

Shrinkgate.

Your eyes get used to the bigger screen. When i first started using the iphone 5 i thought the screen size was massive. Now it seems like any other iphone. But when i see a 4s, i notice the smaller screen. The same thing happened to me when i had an android phone. I had bought a samsung galaxy, to try it for a while. The screen was super huge. About a month later i didnt really notice the bigger size. Till i went back to an iphone 4s, and i noticed the difference than :D

To all those saying they can't go back to the old iPhone screen, imagine the day when Apple releases a larger than 4" screen. Might y'all say the same?

I've always said that the desire for a larger screen isn't an Android vs. iOS argument, even though it inevitably turns into one. I've always said iOS would be glorious on a larger screen as well.

It can go bigger.

It's the iPad.

Anyway I always welcomed an increase of iPhone's screen size to 4" to 4.3". I was so disappointed when they didn't increase the screen to ~4" last year with the 4S.

Yes, at first it felt weird, but it didn't take long to get used to it. Now the bigger screen benefits although subtle, and the one hand usability make this iPhone the best phone on the market. Now, if it was 4.3 or 4.5 would it be better? Maybe, maybe not, you can't tell for sure unless you handle it and use it everyday.

But, for a reality check, just use an iPhone 4S or prior models once in a while.
