I ordered the 8 Plus at launch as part of my Apple upgrade program and planned on trading in my 7. After about a week I decided to return it. The increase in bulk was quite a shock to me, but what really pushed me over was the weight. Now I get why Apple went back to the aluminum back with the 6. The glass back makes it too heavy. Does anyone else feel this way?

I still might trade in my 7 for a regular 8 (as it is just slightly heavier than the 7) but I'm on the fence. Did anyone else have a similar gripe with the 8 Plus?

Consider the iPhone X then. It has the screen size of the 8 plus but the weight and dimensions close to the 8.

There are multiple threads on this topic already.

Except it doesn't have the screen size of the Plus..... it has a taller, thinner screen than the Plus

Close enough to me...

Absolutely. I went from a 6 to an 8+ and it felt like a tank. Now going to return the 8+ and hope my local Apple store can replenish their supply of 8's soon so that I'm not without a phone for too long.

I don’t feel this way at all. I love the heft...if that’s what you want to call it. It weighs like 200 grams..that’s not that much lol

Coming from a 6s or a 7 that is quite a big jump...which is why the OP started the thread.

The plus sized iPhones are substantially heavier than the "regular" sized model, and the 8+ is the heaviest phone that Apple has put out, besides being one of the heaviest on the market right now.
