Weird all of sudden I can't seem to buy any apps. I can download free apps but can't seem to buy apps. Is this something wrong Apple's side or with me?

I keep getting "the item you tried to buy is no longer available".

Are they all from the same developer or from a range of different developers?

I tried a couple from different developers. I tried from both my iPhone as well as iTunes on the Mac. On the phone I get the error "The item you tried to buy is no longer available". However on the Mac I get the error "This item is temporarily unavailable. Try again later."

A friend of mine had the same problem and was posting about it on Facebook. She was trying to redownload Instagram.

There is a widespread issue with the App Store. This is effecting most users.

I had to retry a couple times to download some of the apps I already owned, but eventually it came through.
