Atlantis but in space
So about 2 weeks ago my audio jack went on my launch day iPhone. I was like no problem i'll go to apple and get it replaced. Bing bang boom they did (Willow grove Apple store in PA). I had dinner plans and went out and got to the restaurant. My GF wanted to see the refub iphones and so she held the phone and she noticed the screen was elevated a little on the left corner. She then pushed it and it clicked. It was also noticeably going up and down and making a clicking noise. So I was like OK this is annoying but you know i should have looked at the phone more closely before I left. So that night i get an appointment for the next day and we get there and the guy literally said he had never seen anything like it. There was an extra layer of glass below the screen so he swapped the phone no problem. I was happy and i got the new phone and checked for screen nicks, glass defects audio jacks..etc. I walk out the store on a thursday now this morning I went to make a phone call and guess what i discover the microphone was broken randomly lol. Of course I was mad and then i got off the phone with apple and set up an appointment and realized if it wasn't for apples amazing customer service I could be looking at 450 dollars out of pocket instead of swapping to refurbs.

The most awkward part of this is i've had the same guy each time and he is going to think i'm insane or just very unlucky. Anyways i'll be going to apple again tonight to get my third swap in less than two weeks.

TLDR: Launch day phone broke, now going on three swaps in less than two weeks before new iPhone comes out.

My launch day iPhone 5 was fine. Perfect out of the box.Developed a mic problem so I got it replaced. The replacement has been doing just fine since November. No issues. My wife just got a brand new iPhone 5 two weeks ago, manufactured in November 2012 and it's perfect.

I hear these stories and I count myself lucky that I have not had to suffer any of these problems.
