Here's the link http://dailycaller.com/2017/04/03/companys-stock-falls-nearly-70-percent-after-apple-severs-ties/

Apple cut ties with Immation who makes the PowerVR GPUs in Apple phones and iPads. Safe to say the current 12 Cluster GPU shared by the 12.9" and 9.7" Pro won't be outclassed for a long while.

It's raises doubts about what Apple is cooking up by itself and when Will we get new Apple GPU's hpjust because they cut ties this week doesn't mean we won't get new PowerVR GPUs in the IPhone 8 and new iPad Pros.

I'd actually like to see Apple live up to the PRO labels and ship an iPad Pro with an Intel CPU or an NVIDIA X2 chipset.

The Nintendo Switch runs an NVIDIA X1 and I'd guess the iPad Pro is still a more powerful device. Especially since it's runs games at such a high resolution.

The more interesting tidbit is that Apple will have to stop selling A8-A10 devices (and A11 devices, assuming they have PowerVR GPUs) within 2 years. That will be very interesting to see.

Terminating their partnership in 15-24 months is not the same thing as "stop selling" GPUs in that time.

Thing is Immation holds ALOT of Patents and even if Apple tries to make a Monile GPU they might use some of Immation secret sauce.

There just going to make a new agreement that pays Imagination very little >5mil to use maybe if anything patented by them in their new gpu. Or they actually did something new or partnered with arm to use their gpu tech. In which case Imagination is useless as are their many patents
