That's a nice thought. (Not that I dislike the new iPhone design, but I do like to be surprised) Sadly there's no evidence whatsoever for it being anything more than fantasy.

whether it's the Iphone 5 or the new I pod touch it doesn't matter. Everyone will want it and Apple stock will continue to soar! Instead of buying the latest product that Apple makes, purchase their stock instead.

Ok, well here is my conspiracist theory which I in no way believe.

There was a rumor that apple was going to update the whole line to the new mini dock connector, so my theory is that the iPhone that has been leaked is the new iPhone 4, which will be at the $99 dollar point. The iPhone 5 will have a curve unibody back, much like the iPad and have a 4.3"-4.5" edge to edge retina 2 screen (twice the resolution of the wide screen iPhone 4).

This would put more pressure on developers to make 16x9 apps since apple won't be selling any 3.5" screens anymore and same with the new dock connector.
