I just purchased his old mac mini today, only 2 GB in the hard drive.
Go Broncos!
he will be missed and was a beacon of bacon on the gridiron!

I came to know John Madden through the Sega Genesis NFL games. Friends and I loved his catchphrases and it added so much to the game. RIP Mr. Madden. There will never be another quite like him.

That’s unfortunate. I always enjoyed playing Madden on my super Nintendo as a kid and hear him say ‘boom’ with a big tackle. Him and Pat Summerall were some of my favorite commentators in the NFL as a duo.

Edit:

That’s an excellent piece written by ESPN. Lengthy enough where it covers pretty much his entire career.

I am very sad to hear of the passing of NFL great John Madden. He was a great coach and color commentator and, by all accounts, a good person. I can tell you that I learned a lot of football from listening to his commentary. Thanksgiving will never be quite the same.

Yep. From the ABC News report of his passing, here's all you need to know: "His wife of 62 years..."
(Of course, that says a lot about her as well.)

While I am not a fan of the Raiders, I am a fan of Mr. Madden. I loved listening to him call the plays and seeing him draw on the screen. I just liked him. Having listened to him for the better part of my adult life while watching football, truly sad to hear of his passing.
