I got a knock at the door just a couple of minutes ago. I thought it would be the DHL man here to pick up my package. Alas, it was the FedEx man. At first I was confused.

"We hadn't ordered anything," I thought. "It must be for the neighbors."

But sure as day there was my name on the label. But the return address was unfamiliar.

"A mail bomb? Anthrax? Do I have any enemies???" All raced through my head.

Then it hit me. The hubby had been talking incessently the last week about getting me a Shuffle to use when I go running. I thought he was going to wait a week to see if a refurb became available.

Sneaky, sneaky.... But I'm happy! :) My iPod mama now has a baby Shuffle! Woohoo! :D

Oh cool!! What a nice surprise...did he forget Valentines Day though or was this another surprise??!! ;)

You two are cute on MR!! :)

Cheers to cute happy couples!!

If anyone asks, I'm supposed to say "He got me chocolate for V-Day." But, honestly, a Shuffle is just so much cooler. Even it if wasn't for V-Day it is now. Such a nice bonus! :D

Hey... don't get me wrong... I love my chocolate, but this will help me (indirectly) take off what the chocolate puts on my hips. It is cooler than chocolate because it keeps the blubbery effects of chocolate at bay.

Heh. Nice to get a surprise like that.

My daughter recently had her stupid cat spill water in her Dell laptop; got sick from overwork and spent most of one Friday in the emergency room being checked out; and got extremely pissed at my wife for having the cat declawed without her permission*. All within two weeks.

So today my wife and I went to Dillard's and bought our daughter this big bottle of cologne she's been wanting. Something with Sarah Jessica Parker's name on it. Freaking thing cost $68. Way overpriced, but she's had a really s****y two weeks, and I figured she deserved it.

It was nice to see her happy to get that. :)

So congratulations, florifee. What a nice way to end the week.

* Please don't lecture me on how that was a lousy thing to do. My wife and I have already had words about it. (I wasn't a part of that duplicity.) Besides, I don't want to hijack florifee's thread.

Very cool gift. Way to go, nbs2!
I got a 512 Shuffle for Father's Day last year (along with a 60GB iPod:eek:. old 4G 20GB went to daughter who'd had hers stolen). My wife tried it out, fell in love with it, and I gave it to her without my ever using it. A week later, Apple dropped the 60GB iPod price by $50, and the 1GB Shuffle by $20. I came out of the store not with $50 in my pocket, but having thrown another $79 at the 1GB Shuffle.

...and of course, my wife never uses her Shuffle anymore, preferring to use her pink Mini. Our 4.5 year old son uses it now.

Or if he's doing it right, we'll at least hear her.....

Somehow I don't know if one can be exited enough to stop in the middle of it, go to the computer, open up a browser window, type in the forum URL, post a thread, proceed to type OMG YES YES YES!! (or whatever), submit it, close the browser window and get back to previous task.

Not seeing it happening.

heh, lucky you... what songs are you gona put on your Shuffle?

I'm working on putting together a good workout mix. So far it's a bunch of Crystal Method. If anyone has any other recommendations I'm up for them.
