The Mac is a... PC?

During the June 2011 WWDC keynote today, everyone kept using the terms Mac and PC interchangeably. What's the deal?

Sure it is. Just seems like a shift. Think back to the I'm a Mac, I'm a PC... clearly they weren't trying to market the Mac as a PC back then.
