If you own a MacBook I'd like you to post here and give your impressions so far. I picked up a white 1.83GHz MacBook last night from the Apple Store.
First impressions:
- The magnetic lid is nice, no worrying about latches breaking.
- The keyboard is interesting. I like it, but I don't know if I like it any better than the old-style keyboard. I don't notice any flexing when I type. I can't tell yet if the keys will leave any type of impression on the screen. I hope not.
- The glossy screen looks nice. Yes, there is a reflection, but I think in most environments you will stop noticing it after a few minutes. How many of you have a TV with a glass screen? You learn to look past the glare.
- The bottom gets pretty warm. I've never owned a Mac laptop before, so I don't know how how warm is normal.
- It's very quiet so far. Hardly makes any noise.
- Battery life appears to be 3-4 hours.
I'll post more later, and maybe some other MacBook owners will give their thoughts.
