Bloomberg reporter Mark Gurman joined us on The MacRumors Show podcast this week to discuss everything we're expecting from Apple in 2022, providing insights into over a dozen of Apple's upcoming products. Gurman also shared his expectations for Apple in 2022 in the latest edition of his "Power On" newsletter.

The second episode of The MacRumors Show takes a whistle-stop tour through all of the hardware Apple is expected to announce this year, including five new Macs, three new Apple Watches, Apple's first mixed-reality headset, and more. We were thrilled to be joined by Mark Gurman, the prominent Bloomberg reporter behind many of the scoops covered here on MacRumors, who is known for his accurate insider knowledge about Apple's plans.

Mark provided insights into the MacBook Air and the M2 chip, the logic behind the refreshed entry-level MacBook Pro and the future of the Touch Bar, the design and modularity of the new Mac Pro with Apple silicon, wireless charging coming to the iPad Pro, the rugged Apple Watch and the roadmap for new health features, the rumored Apple Watch Series 7 design that never emerged, the next-generation iPhone SE, the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Pro, the long-rumored foldable iPhone, AirPods Pro 2, refreshed AirPods Max, and the launch of Apple's mixed-reality headset.

In a short bonus episode set to be released soon, we also talked to Mark about his day-to-day work as one of the leading Apple reporters, hearing his thoughts on the rumor community, the process of developing a story, his current device setup, and exactly what he finds so engaging about writing about Apple.

My 2018 MacBook Pro is still going strong, but my March 2016 (released 2014) Mac Mini is showing its age at almost 6 years old. However, not wanting to repeat that history, I'd like to wait for the M2 Mac Mini (hopefully coming sooner than later) to update that machine.

He has 87% accuracy per AppleTrack (442 correct out of 508). This puts him second behind Kang, who is 97% accurate (134 correct out of 138).
I thought Kang was no longer around and Apple shut him down?

This is a great video with great content. It’s not easy to speak in front of a camera so we’ll done.

Hartley has a very soothing voice and Sami looks nice. Dan skin looks a big plastic and Mark has nice hands.

It's nice to hear these guys talking about the rumors.
For me, the stand-alone display is what I really want. a 30/32" lower-spec XDR priced at $2.5k with a stand (+$500 nano) is a winner.

Please invite leaker Jon Prosser to the next one.
At first I thought maybe you were being sarcastic, but I actually do think John Prosser would be a really good interviewee.

He’s got a great personality and even though his track record has declined, he still is somebody I’d be willing to listen to what he has to say. I think the show is all about diversifying, it doesn’t have to be the most reliable source for Macrumors to open up discussion to discuss all rumors alike. That’s what created the site, right? It’s about the rumors, from all types of sources.
