The max memory of the late2008 MBP

HI everyone
I have a late 2008 c2d 2.53ghz 15'' unibody mbp, I upgraded the memory to 4G last year, and now I want to upgrade the memory again,but I don't know the max memory it can support, someone say it can take 6G ram,and someone say it can take 8G ram....
So, if someone know,please tell me ....thank u

8GB of RAM should work in your MacBook Pro. The only 15" Unibody MacBook Pro's that do not support 8GB are the 2.4Ghz Late 2008 MacBook Pros. As per the "6GB in MacBook (Pro); Yes it works. - 8GB... well..." thread.
