Unfortunately, Pirates of Silicon Valley interpreted the "non-voting" shares as Microsoft now owns Apple, and all the MS Fanboys LOVE to say that, even in 2010.

Boooooooooo! :D

No, that was pretty cool. Hadn't seen that in a while. Steve had to do what he needed to for the good of the company. Obviously, not all his announcements were very popular.
It's so funny seeing the reactions in the audience when Gates appeared.

It is interesting to learn more and more about the history of Apple. I knew that microsoft had invested money, but I never knew why.

I have been watching keynotes now on youtube for about an hour!

Groovy vest!

Noticed it took a few seconds before people started clapping after he said "Microsoft"...lol

Kinda makes you wonder ... just how longer after the contract committment did Microsoft keep that $150million investment in Apple (after the initial 3yrs).

Still without Bill Gates' US governmental Anti-Trust pressure and work with Apple we'd most likely be using Linux or something else other than Mac OS.

This happened a bit after I invested $4,000 in Apple at $16.50 per share  It was good for $250,000 at one time and I still hold 200 shares.

I love the reaction to that announcement. :D

However, I also admire Bill Gates' ability to make fun of himself (eg: The Bill Retires video). That was funny too.
