The home button on my phone is already big time sketchy. This morning I wake up and what do I find? The depressor no longer is working - done.. kaput.. not working.

Thank God I have my iPhone 5 coming on Friday! :D

You're lucky that a phone broke? Ok.

I'm damn lucky that it didn't happen a few weeks back while waiting on this phone, having to go in and get a new one before the 5 came out. That's my point.

There's always assisiive touch. My home button has stopped working for two months.

I have been using that for about 6 months. I'm talking about the top depressor.

Cute story, no one cares

That's right - we should all continue to talk about "Oh my God! It says ship on 9/21.. am I going to get my phone on Friday morning as promised? My life will never go on if I don't!!"

That's right.. we should continue to talk about that.

Wouldnt say 'Most Lucky', more so fortunate/unlucky.

Would of been more lucky if it didn't break and then you sold it on for some $$$

Again - my point was the top depressor 3 days from getting the new 5 just stopped working. Meaning.. I really can't continue to use this phone for any period of time. I'd have to have renewed my contract for another 2 years and gotten the 4S instead of the 5.

I fixed mine with electrical contact cleaner. Powered the phone off, pressed the home button down, sprayed a bit in at the 3 and 9 o'clock positions, then pressed down with my thumb and rotated the phone left and right as if trying to turn the button itself, then clicked it repeatedly until it started feeling better. Left it 5 mins to be sure the contact cleaner had evaporated and then powered on. Problem solved for me.
