In January, the 1st year MFA graduate students at LA Tech have a show going up. I'll have a bunch of stuff being hung. Thought I'd share one set of photos, see what you guys think, opinions, etc etc? This is the only monochrome, with the majority of everything else being highly saturated, loud colors in portraits and etc

Mmm, well first, I do like your overall setup of the pictures. I think the B&W conversion is spot on. However, some of them have sort of annoying niggles to me, and without context, I just don't feel like I get a message or am moved by them.

Can you say any more about how you plan to present them? Are you doing anything interesting with the gallery setup, or are you just framing / matting them?

The specific things are things like... in #2 and #4, I think the idea is really great, but the way the dress drapes with the liquid in it seems to ruin it for me. #3 would be fabulous except that I think the focal plane is off. I still like that one a lot.

I do like the last two and number 3 the best.
