My friend was polishing my iPod Touch on the train this morning, and she found a mysterious, faint circle above the screen.

It's on the black screen surround, 15mm from the left edge of the black surround, 7mm from the top and about 2mm in diameter.

Was wondering whethere anybody knew what this was (if anything)

the light sensor...i forget what you call it.

EDIT: ambient light sensor i think it is.

It's the Auto brightness sensor.
