I have a MacPro 2.66 with 4GB memory. One bay has a Seagate 250GB in it. I'm looking at populating all four bays with 160GB Hitachi Deskstar 8mb buffer or 160B Seagate Barracuda with 8GB buffer. Total storage is not is an issue here as I have an external 1TB. These run about $60.00 a piece. I suppose heat and noise become factors when you have four HD's cooking.

Would I be better off just getting two good sized HD's to RAID0 that have 16mb or 32mb buffers. Or, just get a Raptor 150? I guess I could add a second one when I can afford it and RAIDO two of those.
