Can anyone tell me what the texts size will be like on the new 12" rMB.

Will it have the same text size as the cMBP and rMBP and the original Air's, which have the same size text as most MacBooks have had over the years, or will it have tiny text like the wedge shape 11" and 13" Airs, which i believe is due to their odd 1440 x 900 resolution, or will it be somewhere in between.

Anything smaller than the current rMBP's text would be too small for me.

I know you can change resolutions and everything like that but it never looks quite right, so i am talking about their default settings, which will say best for retina.

There is nothing odd about the screen resolution of 1440 x 900. Additionally only the 13" MacBook Air has a resolution of 1440 x 900. The 11" MacBook Air has a resolution of 1366 x 768.

Sorry i forgot the 11" was 1366 x 768, seen that resolution plenty times before.

But haven't seen the 1440 x 900 before, especially not in a Macbook.

Anyway they both have very small text for whatever reason.

Anyone know how the 12" rMB will compare.

1440 x 900 has has been the standard resolution for all 15" Macbook Pros since its inception in 2006 (even the rMBP has the same effective working space in best for retina mode).

The text size on the 12" macbook will be larger both Airs. It has an effective desktop space equivalent to 1152 x 720.

Thanks for the info, i have never been very interested in the 15" MacBooks in the past and didn't realise the pre retina ones were 1440 x 900. I just looked at the history of the 13" MacBooks and noticed the 13" wedge shaped air was the only one with 1440 x 900 resolution.

I don't fully understand the 1152 x 720 resolution bit, you say the text will be bigger than the airs, but will the text be as big as it is on the 13" rMBP.
