I'm not sure if this has been asked before but there are way too many threads to search through to find out if it has been.

Anyways, my question is this:
If my iPad has been shipped and Apple has "requested future delivery" (for Friday) would it be possible for me to get Fedex to hold it at my local distribution hub (I'm guessing it'll arrive there by Tuesday) can I then pick it up there on Tuesday or Wednesday or any day before Friday?

One other question, does anyone els's shipment say "Adult signature required?" if so, why? Because Apple has never put that on any of my orders.

Thanks to whoever can answer my questions :)

No. But in the amount of time it took you to sign in, type this up, and then wait for a few replies you could have asked FedEx yourself.

No, no way at all.

Adult signature is usually required on all Apple products, especially expensive ones like an iPad. Print out the presign page and stick it to your door if you're not gonna be there.

I already have been signed up and I've called

I have been a MacRumors forum member for a year. And I already did call but they couldn't seem to tell me too much at this point.

Future Delivery requested means that a seller or vendor has requested that shipment will be delivered at a particular day in the future. In this case, the future date is Mar. 16 (Friday) and since Apple is the one who requested the future date, they are the only one who can alter that date. Not you, not FedEx, not even the President.

I know how it feels. Everyone wants their iPads sooner than Mar 16 but it is what it is. You'll get it on Mar 16 so don't worry
