I have a black line on my iPad too. Made an appointment this week.

Only thing I'm concern is that I have iBooks from other sites. Hopefully I won't lose them.

Got a new iPad. It took 2 minutes with the Genius. I like that everything was restored on my new iPad. I thought the restore feature was just gonna put all the apps back on the iPad. But it actually put everything in folders as it was before. Great day. Now hopefully this one will last longer than 180 days.
