So, lets guess when the new iPad will be jailbroken.


Personally, I don't think it will be jailbroken released publicly till after iOS6 comes out, thats just my opinion.

I think that they'll find an exploit around the release of 5.2

The exploit is there as is the jailbreak, the question is whether or not i0n1c will release it to the public!

The guts are essentailly the same save for the GPU, screen and additional RAM so likely it'll be available as soon as a iOS 5.1 JB is available.

Can't see why it would be more than a month if i0nic has an exploit and there was just an iOS update so no fear of it being shut down by another in the immediate future (without a release revealing it). Maybe less than 2 weeks.

If it works on the 3 obviously, hopefully so.

If it doesn't... 2-4 months.

I often wonder who benefits from a Thread with a Poll like this. Nobody knows, so it's pure speculation, so shouldn't it be in the rumors thread? And say 90% felt within a week, still has no clout.

I don't really see the purpose.

it should be faster than most releases, the hard work is done, they already have a jailbreak it's just not in public release form until some refining is done.

All the people saying i0n1c is going to release his jailbreak need to take a look at his twitter feed. It's going to be 3-6 months at the soonest before we see a workable jailbreak released publicly and it won't be i0n1c who releases it.

I think it would help JB-code writers gauge the current interest in JB!
As the new iPad is already breaking all sales record, i guess it is nice for the devs to hear the voice of the masses yearning for a JB on our new devices!
