asking this question on this forum will only yield one very predictive answer..so what's the point?

back on topic...yes i think i am. i'm ready for LTE, a bigger screen (maybe?) and a new iPhone in general. my iP4 has a small crack and chip so i'd like a shiny new device to start over again.

Not buying. Will be getting the 4S after the next one is launched.
But yes i am excited to know what Apple reveals (apart from what we already know).

Time to change phones.
Been on my iPhone 3G since 2009.
Battery is dying and I have to wait quite a long time before button presses.

About bloody time for me.

It seems exciting, but I'm not getting it. I don't see any justification for upgrading past the iPhone 4, which is already a better phone than I need.

I want to see Apples announcement before I decide if I'm going to get the new iPhone or not. Either way, my 4S is only 2 weeks old so I don't need the new one right away anyway.

While I am sure this is true if you have an upgrade available You could probably sell your 4 for enough to cover the purchase of the iPhone 5 making the upgrade free for you. If someone offered you the upgrade for free would you take it? If you not going to upgrade why not just buy the new phone on subsidy and then re sell it on ebay for a huge profit? Just ideas.

My 4S is plenty of phone for me until I'm eligible to upgrade in the fall of 2013. So no, not getting the 5, but the model after. The 4S is my first iPhone, but I guess this puts me on the "S cycle".

I don't think I am able to switch contracts right now, so I can't sell the 2-year-old phone post-contract as a contract-free iPhone on eBay then buy a subsidized new one.

Yup. I'm getting it because it's new..... I'm weird like that.

But I am looking forward to a bigger screen and LTE. I do hope for some "one more thing" game changer, but I'm not holding my breath.

Yes, it's an addiction I can't kick...the bigger screen will be the excuse I use, but to be honest, my 4S is all the phone I really need...just can't prevent it whatever I do, and will be pre-ordering on Wednesday :)
