Not bad! I have seen some really awful mockups, and this one looks pretty feasable. I don't that that it will be aluminum, that seems to be for pro models only, which a headless mac is not.

It's OK... sort of like a powerbook on its end.
Not entirely sure about the supporting bracket at the base.

I think we're going to eventually see a white plastic-cased machine, though...

Looks good.

But...it'd fall over ALL THE TIME, and I don't think they'd use the "pro" brushed metal/wire mesh look of the PM G5. Consumer products are white plastic.

God I hope they don't call it a Mini Mac

What about just "mini" similar to the iPod mini which is now semi-affectionately referred to as "mini".

I think it looks cool, although the above comments about stability and finish I have to agree with.

Nice job.

If it is remotely close to this form factor, I would venture to guess that Apple would charge for the support dock :D

Either way, it will probably be my next mac.

My headless Power Mac G4 is a pro model and is aluminium :)

I am supposed to be able to take the first photos of of the iMac mini in the next couple of days. I will keep you all posted....

Expect this site to lock up then when you do... the ensuing traffic will be triffic.

What's the deal? Or have you signed confidentiality clauses?

It definitely needs to be able to "live" horizontally as well -- the better to inhabit stereo component racks.

I really like the design. Nice work :)

Only thing I would want to ad would be 2 front USB ports.

But knowing Apple, they will not have any, and put the power button on the back.

The base looks a little more stable, perhaps fillet the edges though. Sharp corners like that are a no-no (at least in my line of work).

It definately looks like a PBook on edge, but thats a cool look, well done :)
