Finally looking to replace my first gen iPad. I have the black and was thinking of getting the new white one, just to have something different. I remember that some of the white versions had "light leak" issues...is that still the case or are both black and white ones the same now?

Some white ones might have, some black ones did also. Bezel color is irrelevant.

I also went from first gen to the white iPad 3rd gen. The only issue mine had was a slight yellow tint that I decided wasn't bad enough to warrant a return. Love the white bezel though. Both iPhone and iPad are now white. Very happy with my choices.
