Like the MBPs and MBs before the MBA, it's just a matter of time when the new toys on the MBA gets injected into the next generation MB and MBPs.

My predictions of the next MBP based on the MBA is that:

1) It will be 30-33% slimmer: thickness is of the thickest portion of the MBA.
2) Utilize the smaller footprint CPU which also has less power consumption
3) An improved trackpad from the MBA

which leads us to believe there will be a case redesign to accomodate that????? I hope so!

Not gonna use the little chips, it'll use the new Penryn chips but it still could be fractionally thinner as the chips dissipate less heat.

Multi-touch is coming to all the laptops I reckon.

I don't see it going really thin but rather as just having the touch features in the trackpad, the tapering of the MBA and the new keyboard plus some long overdue graphics, processor and bus updates.

i dont think it is going to be 30% thinner, its a pro, it has pro hardware. it needs room for that hardware.
