What are some of your not so obvious uses for your iPad that aren't just games, books, browsing, etc..

I use my iPad to replace my filing cabinet. Like I scan all of my bills, school handouts, military files, and use iAnnotate for school work, and fastPDF to keep track of my bills so see my usage and spending over time to adjust my monthly budgets.

What useful not so obvious ways have you developed?

Mirror to shave in the cold dark morning. Cuts are manly badges of honour. Roar.

Using it as a Monitor to get a first person of all things that lie in front of me....

... wait, I don't have an iPad

I use it to go shopping. I don't really do anything with it while I'm there, but it looks nice!

It works nicely as a laptop stand -- I use it to raise the back of my MacBook Air so the keyboard angle is comfortable for typing.

Not sure if this is a Joke Thread but the the majority of the replies suggest it. So I'll bite

Cutting Board
Straight Edge
Knife
Nut Cracker
Umbrella
Sun Visor
Lumbar Support
Frisbee
Paper Weight
Door Stop
Serving Tray
That thing you do to keep a chair from wobbling
Trowel

To the OP, those things you listed are not that uncommon uses for the iPad.

I bought an iPad 2 last week so that I'd have a handy gadget to keep up to date with all the iPad 3 rumours.

Almost! It's "n'est-ce pas?" - Sorry, I'm a French teacher.

Two years of college French, one year refresher course in grad school to pass my Doctoral language requirement, and I still don't know squat. Such a bozo.:p

Thanks for the correction. Perhaps I can avoid embarrassing myself in the future. Or, better yet, I'll stick with English, and pray. :D

Me and my stupid affectations.
