I prefer the iPhone 5. Black/Slate, 64GB.

Guess I'm not in those numbers.

Personally, I do think the + is too big to carry day to day... with that being said, I still bought one. Why? I wanted to see what owning a phablet was all about and I think I'll get used to it. If not, I'll just "go small" in two years. No big deal.

As many have mentioned in the thread linked above, 6+ is hard to find. Many who got a 6 may have gotten tired of waiting. If 6+'s supply was enough to meet the demand, we would be seeing a different stat.

Given ample stock and identical specs, wonder how sales numbers would break down if there were a 4, 4.7 and 5.5" models?

This. You can't compare the numbers with the 6+ being in such short supply. I don't think you can compare that stat until this time next year when the supply constraints are resolved.

For the simple fact that I can go two days between charges or that I cannot even kill the battery in one day from 100% to 10% makes the 6+ a far far superior iPhone. I think usage is a relatively poor indicator of battery life, but with brightness at 25-33% I venture that I get about 8-10 hours of screen on time from 100-10%.

Personally I cannot wait until LG develops OLED or Apple wakes up and delivers samsungs OLED to the iPhone. That will be the perfect mobile device for me.

Agreed

I thought the 6 was large when I had the 5s. got the 6+ and now it seem the 6 is way too small.

I really don't understand this pi$$ing contest. I have a 6 plus. I believe in the long run, the iPhone 6 will sell more.

So what?

Except that in two years you may not be able to "go small" with a new iPhone.

Same here. I can wait for Apple Pay for two years (or more). And I can do without VoLTE -- I have VoIP with my home digital phone now, and it's never been as reliable or consistent as a landline.

5s all the way... In fact Verizon only sells the 5s in 16GB and 32GB now. No more 64. Only a matter of time until the 5s is gone.

I don't think there has been enough available stock of the 6 plus yet to be making these sorts of calculations. I'd give it until the end of Q1 in 2015 to see what the numbers really look like.

It'll be interesting at launch next year, because they'll likely not have the production issues they had this year.

Not surprising. This forum isn't representative of the masses so most people here want the best iphone with loads of gb whilst majority of people I know are happy with standard 6 with 16gb.

That's why it's a good thing Apple made both, isn't it?

I never understood this about so many Apple folks. They have such a "there is only one way!!!" attitude, like it's somehow "wrong" to like something different. I remember someone on either here or Reddit getting RIDICULOUSLY angry at the idea of iOS allowing other keyboards because he just INSISTED that the stock keyboard was perfect and anyone who wanted another one was WRONG.

If more people prefer the 6, then it's awesome that there IS a 6 for them to have. I would NEVER buy the 6, and if the 6+ had not been available I would not have looked at an iPhone again whatsoever. Once I started using 5" and bigger screens there was no going back. Using the 5s feels like the old Zoolander "is this a phone for ants??" joke.

The research applies to the first 30 days of iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus availability in the US.

This is when the 6+ had the least amount of availability.
I still think the 6 would be the more popular choice, since most iPhone users are used to smaller screens, but it wouldn't be as big of a stretch.

If by "go small" they meant go down to 4.7", then I'd say it's a safe bet that will be an option in two years. At the very least the 6S will be an option.

It's really fun handling the 3gs after using my 6+. Comical and I thought the same thing about in in regards to zoo lander

that's because the plus is on backorder and higher demand than the 6. so yea people will buy the 6 more since its faster to get.
