Canada's team isn't particularly awesome this year, but I have no doubt we'll make it to the finals.

I haven't paid attention to it this year, one of my friends went to the final game last year in Grand Forks I believe, that was an awesome game.. especially since the NHL was lockedout
What'd everyone think of the vicious cheap shot the American player took on the Canadian player after the winning goal (by Canada) the other night?

Apparently Downie slashed him just before it. That's hockey, yeah it was a cheap shot, but if you slash a guy you should be ready to pay the price, it's just usually the check's (cheque's) not cashed. It's a cheap shot either way you look at it, and it was inexcusable.
There would have been a melee if Kyle put out Johnson at the end of that Russia game.
I never said it wasn't a cheap shot. It most definitely was, but you have to realize that you are basically a gladiator out there (listen to the fans cheer during a fight) and crap happens
