I am trying to copy a lot of files from a Seagate 4TB hard drive to a WD Elements 8TB hard drive and I am getting this error message: The operation can’t be completed because an unexpected error occurred (error code -50).

These are graphic design files. The files and folders start copying just fine until it gets to a font file, eg. "Times New Roman.ttf"

Then it stops copying and gives me the error message. I have a LOT of files to copy and it would take me way too much time to go in and remove all of the font files. Does anyone have a fix or workaround to help me? Thanks!

Try to copy the folder(s) from Terminal:
cp -r "/Volumes/Seagate 4TB Name/FolderName" "/Volumes/WD Elements 8TB Name/

I am trying that now and it looks like it is working! I am getting "Invalid Argument" messages in the Terminal whenever it comes across those font files but then it continues copying the rest of the files. Works for me, thanks!
