Hi,
I'm having trouble with my facetime. I'm using a macbook to facetime one of my friends who is using an iPhone. The problem is, when I talk, she can't hear me, but I can hear her clearly. Can anyone solve this problem for me? Thanks in advance.

Here is a discussion on the apple forum that has some suggestions. BTW, this was the first hit on a google search.

If this doesn't fix it and you want to post back here, you should mention in your post what OS version you are running, what equipment you are using and what you have tried to fix the problem already.

Rule out the microphone by making a phone call and putting it on speaker. See if the other party can hear you.

I was going to assume this was just one of those ironic unrelated troubleshooting steps until I realized you must be thinking the OP is on an iPhone. They're calling from their MacBook, not a phone.

OP, have you tried iChat or Skype yet to test the computer's functionality?

Doh. That's what I get for browsing all the forums at once. I read iPhone Facetiming with MB instead of MB Facetiming with iPhone.

That being said, you still may want to check the mic on their iPhone. Try using FaceTime with someone else or test their mic.
