in theory, and insofar as my own experience goes, palm-branded pdas (made by palm inc, or palm solutions group or whichever they are called now) play extremely nicely with macs.
my old m100 sync'd no problem with my ibook the first time i tried it.
isync is, in my opinion, fast and easy to use.
also, if you have any serious issues,
www.brighthand.com has palm forums with people who are wicked helpful. i accidentally trashed my palm desktop, my pocketmirror (for outlook syncing), and somehow my palm hard-reset whenever it sync'd (this was all on a win98 machine, during the crisis that convinced me it just wanted to die peacefully), and the people there were incredibly helpful. so if you trouble is on the palm end ever, they are a great resource.
and of course, the people here can help too i am sure.
