The price of living overseas...

Hi all,

I have been out of US for a while and I need some help to understand these price policies from AT&T. What would be the minimum price to pay for
the new iPhone 3GS without a contract ?

I would not mind getting a regular plan but there is no reason to get it while living overseas.

I don't think it's available for a no-contract price.

Plus you'd have to unlock it to use it with something other than AT&T.

You'd be better off getting it for close to 700Euros in Italy.

That's where I got lost. Isn't possible to pay a termination fee or else ?
