The New MBP Price points are £1,399 and £1,749, which, for a MBP with a worse keyboard, Better GPU, new design, the old one is such better value, the 9600GT is a beast, but i cant believe they increased the price! the New MBP is not work the extra money!

Also, no BlackBook Now, and a 2Ghz CPU For £949? Apple seem to have lost the plot slightly with these prices if you ask me...

I hate how they have to keep the pricing 'pretty' rather than convert to the £5 ...

Insane

The price is just ****ing insane but hey, "I'm pro", so i guess i can afford it...

Save yourself 6% by buying Via Quidco.co.uk . you get cashback

But we are still getting ripped off over here in the UK

yep - I was all in for a new MBP and now, well I am not so sure - the price is awful, the screen is glossy and the displayport (well thats kinda cool) but no more DVI:( weep

good job I can't afford it immediately, maybe they'll wake up and reduce the price soon.....

in all honesty i can't remember when apple lowered there prices just after a update unless it was mentioned in said update.

sorry, but i think the prices are fixed

P.S. i wonder what the prices on ebay are for the previous generation macbook pros :p

Jan 2009- Prices will fall.

In my opinion, and the way things have tend to go with Macbooks, Iphone.

The price may reduce after some time. After the first batch- of enthuasts and those that have to have the latest gadgets, buy them.

I would say when the buying demand falls, thats when they will cut the price and put up special offers for some of the Macbooks.

Just and wait and see Analysts predictions.

Give it 3 months- into the new year after Christmas- prices WILL go down.

Jan 2009- there is another Apple confernce SF- i reckon Steve will annouced the drop in notebooks then.

If not, you can say to me..i told you so.

well I'm sure glad I got the high end 15" (early 2008) MBP as even with my HE discount the new model is now about £200 more than I payed.

Really Glad i have the MBP i do now, i payed the same as the Current Base MBP, and i prefer this one so much.
