I agree with it and it makes a lot of sense, however I didn't attempt to solve the equations based on lawsuit cost.
I can see both sides of the argument however, if I invented a device, I would do everything to prevent other people from attempting to replicate the idea... even frivolous lawsuits. Plus, it provides the winning corporation with a competitive edge, so it does make sense to get involved in a suit.
