The problem is tiny pieces of sand or debris get stuck under keys. Because the key travel is so shallow, anything under a key will result in changing the feel of a key and also requiring more force to register a push. This is a serious design flaw and will hopefully be addressed in future updates. For now, a quick fix is removing the affected keys and cleaning out whatever is trapped beneath the key.

Had mine since Day 3 (in store purchase at Best Buy). No issues for me thus yet and I do take mine 'on the road' and don't just keep it at home. No issues with this.
