I've tried downloading a few apps from the App Store and I always get this error:

The product distribution file could not be verified. It may be damaged or was not signed.

I've deleted the com.apple.appstore folder from TMPDIR but the issue persists. Most of the fixes I have found online are for 10.6 and 10.7. Has anyone else dealt with this issue?
