Guys! I have an intuition. What if the protruding logo is there to balance the camera when the phone is placed on a surface?

What if the logo protrudes (or doesn't) simply for aesthetic purposes. Are we seriously this bored that we are grasping at straws trying to analyze why the logo on the back of a telephone looks the way it does? These forums have become so inundated with ridiculous speculation that it's becoming annoying to browse some subsections. Let's wait for ACTUAL information and then begin the discussion.

What if the curved edge is not chamfered? :eek:

None of the iPhone 6 photos that are on the web have protruding logos.

I wonder if Apple is just throwing off BS with this logo. Remember the curved wedge iPhone rumors around when the 4S came out? There were even cases out for the phone. Turned to to be BS.

Pro tip: the same could be said for people that bother to post criticism of people posting speculation, that is clearly marked as speculation.

Pro tip, redux: people that engage in this much speculation aren't bored.

But what else would we do when we're bored at work?

what if the announcement is for a Samsung galaxy iphone 6?

//mindblown
What if the announcement is to say that there is no announcement--they do say "Wish we could say more." on the invite, so maybe they actually do wish they could say more as they don't have to say anything. :eek: ;)

It would be pretty amusing to see the reactions if all the they announced was a another 4.0" iphone....imagine the uproar afterwards lol

Look at the picture of the keynote invitation! It's a protounding logo!!! Maybe I am right

Let's agree to disagree here, but I think we have to be pretty bored as a people if this many of us are speculating on forums about the design, logo, protrusion, size, release date, etc. about a cell phone. I mean, I get that this is "important" to people but I'm going to go ahead and label it boredom if that's okay with you.

Different people find interest in different things. Some people like to read books at night, or play video games, watch tv, go to bars/clubs/beaches, put together models, listen to music, post on forum boards, read reddit, speculate on upcoming tech, etc.

If someone is doing something interesting to them, it's ok for it to not be as interesting to someone else without having to relegate it to the auspices of boredom.

You can label it boredom all you want; I just don't think it's accurate.
