Yeah, you would think that Apple, with it's huge cash reserve, could hire a few extra groups to drive through a *somewhat* more aggressive desktop update schedule regardless of whatever other iGadget is in the pipeline.

I dont want to be the one to mention it... but ummm.. it's been almost 15 months since many of you said, "I am going to hold off buying a MacPro until they update it"....... that was like the summer of 06..... How much productivity did you loose waiting? Buy now.. ah... that would be throwing away the 15 motnhs you waited... so wait until summer 08... its only 2 years then... LOL...

I will give you a letter of recommendation but only if you promise to make available a high-end consumer video card for the Mac Pro.
The 8800 GTS 512MB G92 card will be fine. The HD3870 in crossfire would be even better.

I'm sure they've had another computer keeping them going in the meantime. Like my neverending wait for a 13" MBP.. I just bought a MacBook this summer as I got tired of waiting for it to materialise. if it ever does, then bye bye MacBook! Simple.

I understand the Mac pro waiter's plight though... if you don't buy it brand new, its price no longer reflects its value.
