It's NOT cheaper...check the SYSTEM STATS....I was fooled at first too. It's the OLDER MB(w/GMA950 not X3100 intregrated graphics)!

I meant the $799 one is even cheaper than the $849 one we were discussing in the other thread (which is quite confusing, the rest of the thread being somewhere else... ). That discussion fell to just looking at $$s spent, rather than specs.

This is something like I have been looking for. When the new Macbooks are released, would something like this go any lower?

Or would it not be available at that time?

I guess this is not current generation, which is ok for me so long as it is an Intel Core 2 Duo and has Wireless N.
